Bachelor of Songs

I had made a brief visit to Thane last week. By the week end there was a programme organised by the local Ayyappa Sewa Sangam, in the apartment complex where my friends are staying. They had organized for the playing of “Panja Vadhiyam” and the bhajans on lord ayyappan. It reminded me of my childhood days. My father used to go to sabari mala every year during those days. Also, I remember, how, when and why I wanted to write kavidhaigal. 1) Ayyappan Bhajans 2) History & Geography Teacher (when I was in 5th Class) When I was 8, I started accompanying my father, to such Bhajans. I still remember, I used to enthusiastically participate and repeat the lyrics of songs sung during the bhajans in a high pitched voice. At that age, I thought that I also could write and sing, songs of my own to appease God. For me, writing such kind of lyrics were so simple :- No concepts, just fill the song with a mixture of requests, wishes, prayers, and calling the God in between in by whatever name that
