Thiruvannamalai at a Full Moon Day

Image
Some body forwarded the above picture. I am not sure whether this is Thiruvannamalai, as I had never been to that place. I never had to change my name , come in trousers to office, making papad in home etc., Whoever challenged State Bank of India's specialities, had to do all the above according to their latest advertisement campaign. I may never challenge. That was, 10:30 in the night. I was inside a Bus towards panvel from Navi Mumbai. A mobile van crossed our bus, which seemed to carry a SBI ATM Machine, inside it. SBI moving towards mobile ATMs? I have never heard of Mobile ATMs anywhere else at least in India. If its a new SBI Strategy, hats off, SBI is really adding value to its customer service.

Bachelor of Songs

I had made a brief visit to Thane last week. By the week end there was a programme organised by the local Ayyappa Sewa Sangam, in the apartment complex where my friends are staying. They had organized for the playing of “Panja Vadhiyam” and the bhajans on lord ayyappan. It reminded me of my childhood days. My father used to go to sabari mala every year during those days. Also, I remember, how, when and why I wanted to write kavidhaigal. 1) Ayyappan Bhajans 2) History & Geography Teacher (when I was in 5th Class) When I was 8, I started accompanying my father, to such Bhajans. I still remember, I used to enthusiastically participate and repeat the lyrics of songs sung during the bhajans in a high pitched voice. At that age, I thought that I also could write and sing, songs of my own to appease God. For me, writing such kind of lyrics were so simple :- No concepts, just fill the song with a mixture of requests, wishes, prayers, and calling the God in between in by whatever name that

An Appeal to University

Was Away for a week in Mumbai, for my exams & official duties; Humble appeal to Student support "****"university:- I had to travel to Malad from Thane for my exams. Four hours a day on bus and auto was really tiring; There were connecting trains, but I hate travelling in suburban trains in Mumbai; I prefer taxis /autos /buses (in the order of priority) instead ; which I generally do in cases of official trips inside Mumbai , the expenses incurred being reimbursed; Why can't the university introduce such catchy schemes of reimbursing travelling expenses to motivate students who shy to travel in buses & trains like me ? Kidnapped... I have decided not to go to Bihar anytime, at any cost; even, if Telco wants me to Manage their operations in jamshedpur, paying at par with Bill Gates's salary, I will say "No". Thanks to movie Apaharan...(Ajay Devgan,Nana patekar). The first half was really good, thanks to the excellant screen play and direction inspiring
