I was going through some of my personal mail archives.. and come across this mail.
This mail was written to my team, (Aug 2004) (a new team was created from the existing associates and few outsiders ) when, the team was really facing a hard time, in terms of its performance and the perceived image ...
at the end of the mail for the outcome..Mail...:-
Dear All,
We are all facing an Image Crisis,
Cost Center Analysis are not carried out,
Schedules are not clean (schedules are our responsibility !)
Import bookings are not made in time, and if done, Import papers are not sent in time,
Open items in clearing accounts are not cleared in time,
Urgent payments are not taken care of,
Proper care is not taken on housekeeping of files, and above all,
Payments are getting delayed after WE took over Bill passing,
Whatever we have done for the past six months, have let people think , whether Our Team is really required ?
Have we ever let down any of our team members in any crisis, be it raised by any body ?
Have we ever passed on the Month end / other audit pressures to all ?
Have we ever forced any body to sit late ?
For some we are Bull____,
For some we have to be dismantled,
For some, we don’t have a Spine !
For some, we don’t know how to speak with seniors,
For some, we don’t know when to organise things like a Manager,
Don’t we have a spinal chord to prove them wrong ?
The crisis faced by us is an opportunity for us to prove our worth !
We are no way inferior to any body in this organisation !!
And No job is least important than other !
If we don’t make a telephone payment, in time, there will be no communication medium!
If we fail to make a salary cheque in time, Payroll Manager's image is going to be ruined !!
If we forget to make a Statutory Payment in time, Our Company's reputation will be shattered !!If we don’t make an advance payment in time, material will not be delivered , which may affect the production plan !!!!
Think how powerful we are !
Think what kind of support we can provide to our company's activities !
Think what kind of Image Build Over we can provide to our organisation on making timely payments !
Think what kind of professional attitude we would have, to keep our books of accounts Neat & Clean !!
Also, Think the kind of return each and every body of us is going to get in let this happen !!!
Think for a while,Think daily, that we are here to achieve,we are here to prove our detractors wrong !
Chalo Doston, We all will work together to achieve whatever is aimed at.
We have very little time left with us,we have big objectives,we have great potential,What will stop us from achieving ?
Again, we are not inferior to any body in any manner, !!
Why not we prove all the complaints wrong ?
Why not we become so strong as the Great Wall of China ?
We, the biggest team in the Finance Department, can do wonders, and Lets Do it !
